First Mini Adventure!!

I had no specific plans this past weekend… and then an opportunity presented itself.

I went to Asheville Friday night to visit family and watch the Billy Joel concert….. Fantastic!

The next day I was planning to head home, but my cousins said they were headed to Greeneville, SC to see a concert…… Cheap Trick opening for HEART!! It was the first night of their new tour. I immediately jumped on line and bought a ticket.

That afternoon we arrived at the venue and had a lovely time in the perfect weather, eating dinner from a food truck and listening to free live music outside the venue. Inside, I got to sit around people I didn’t know. But I soon struck up a conversation with Vivian and Jane. They had won tickets to the concert off the radio and were excited to be there!

The concert itself was good. It was the first night of their new tour, so there were some kinks to work out. After the first couple of songs, Ann Wilson had to sit down. She proceeded to tell us that she just had knee surgery 3 weeks ago and that she was healing nicely, but she would probably sit for the majority of the concert. You could tell that she was not quite back up to speed yet, but she powered through and did a great job.
